Thanksgiving is a wonderful time for us to come together and remember with gratitude who God is, what He has done for us, and those whom He has given us to live our lives with. During this season we are going to be celebrating the fellowship that we have with God and others in two specific ways. The first is that we will be distributing 90+ full Thanksgiving meals on November 25th and 26th to families in our community so that those who desire, can joyfully host a dinner of gratitude in their own home. Secondly, we will be hosting a large Community Thanksgiving Dinner at the church, which is free for all to come. To participate in or support either Bags of Love or the Community Dinner, please contact Pastor John Ames.
Love for Lima Initiatives
It is a joy to partner with groups in our community. Every year we have the wonderful opportunity of working with one of our local elementary schools to see its students supported, its teachers appreciated and its families strengthened. During the holidays, we are excited to be able to help provide 15 Thanksgiving meals to families selected by the school's administration. Additionally, we are thrilled to be able to provide, at the request of the principal's office, hats and gloves to students who need them. If you would like to partner in either of these initiatives see Dawn Kerr at church or talk to someone on our Missions Team. If you would like more information, please contact us at 401-461-3050 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We believe that deep transformation happens in times of fellowship. Often we see this happen in our small groups, that we call lifegroups. Faith Community Church is excited to offer a number of groups throughout the week in a variety of locations and times. Sign up or visit one this week! To find out more visit our Lifegroups page.
